On July 29, 2025, during the 11th International Conference on Minimally Invasive Urological Surgery, Rajavithi Hospital successfully carried out the first cross-border telesurgery between China and Thailand, marking not only a historic breakthrough for both nations but also the first telesurgery ever performed in Thailand.
This landmark achievement showcased the reliability, safety, and precision of the Toumai® surgical robot in executing complex remote procedures. It further aligned with the Ministry of Public Health’s strategic vision to position Thailand as a leading international medical hub.
The event was honored by the presence of the Minister of Public Health, the Director-General of the Department of Medical Service, and other distinguished leaders, who participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and offered high recognition and praise for this pioneering accomplishment.
